I’m the third generation of my family to get into the insurance business, but the first that specializes in health insurance.  The rest of the family was focused on property and casualty insurance, but I found that my passion lay on the life and health side of the fence.

Today, I lead a team that has educated and enrolled more than 1500 individuals into Medicare plans throughout the Mahoning Valley.  We have helped hundreds of businesses in Ohio and Pennsylvania offer their employees benefits plans.  And we have worked with more individuals than we can count to help them navigate their health plan options under the Affordable Care Act.

I am a member of several organizations within our industry, including the National Association of Independent Insurance Brokers (NABIP), Health Rosetta, and the NextGen Network.  All these groups are working in their own ways to bring about change in our healthcare system, which is something I am deeply passionate about.  So much so, in fact, that I recently produced the documentary “It’s Not Personal, It’s Just Healthcare,” which highlights many of the critical issues within the current healthcare system.

Recently I have also been heavily involved in the efforts to save Trumbull Memorial Hospital and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital from closing in the aftermath of Steward Health’s filing for bankruptcy.
